Beware of units used

In any calculations covering quantitative physics, it is important to beware of the units of measurement used! The standard physical units are given below. A force of 1 newton will accelerate mass of 1 kilogram at 1 meters per second per second. The same relationships apply to the other two systems of units. Care must be taken to not mix up the units, to avoid incorrect results.

  English CGS MKS
Mass slug gram kilogram
Force pound dyne newton
Distance foot centimeter meter
Time second second second
Angle radian radian radian
